Movie Review: “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” *WARNING: SPOILERS*

Now as I am sure everyone around me, or anyone who reads this blog, knows I am a HUGE Twilight fan, so I do know that this review will already be a little bias. I am going to try to look at it from the eyes of a non-fan and a fan though, I m just not sure how good I will be at that.

At this point I would also like to point out that I have watched it twice – at the Midnight Screening and then yesterday afternoon. I think that it’ll help my review be a little more subjective because the truth of it is, if I had written that review yesterday after coming home from the midnight screening at 3 in the morning, It would have been all about the way the movie made me feel. LOL. No, seriously. Twilight has that effect on us fans!

Anyhoo, so first off I’d like to mention that if you haven’t seen the movie yet, now is the time to stop reading. There will be spoilers, so don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

The movie starts off with a bang. David Slade definitely knows how to give a movie an edge of darkness. When the cast first started saying that ‘Eclipse’ would be darker, I didn’t quite understand what they were saying – I thought they were just talking about there being more fight scenes, but I was mistaken. In the first screen shot we see Riley being attacked, bitten and turned. It is haunting and brilliant and I’d like to say a big ups to Xavier Samuel! He definitely brought Riley to life in a way that I had never imagined in the books. Although a lot of that credit would has to go to David Slade and Melissa Rosenberg, too. I would never have imagined that beginning for Eclipse but it really works amazingly because it sets a darker tone that you keep with you, even through all the romantic fluff.

‘Eclipse’ is action packed, intense and fast paced. As a non-fan you will enjoy the film although you may not always know what’s going on because there is no time added for explanations. The movie skips along from scene to scene and as unpleasant as that may sound to an avid fan, it actually works. All the time is spent on building the scenes that are dear to the fans and the pace just increases the build up to the fight and to the overall intensity of the film.

There was a great balance between romance and action and all the scenes that were necessary to the story line were there, as well as the scenes the fans needed. But as with all the other movies, there were a lot of things that were cut and/or changed. There were also a few things that were disappointing, although I do think that every fan will have their own ideas about this.

(Okay, if you are a non-fan, I apologize. I tried, but this is pretty much just a fan review now! Lol.)

Let me start with all the things I LOVED (and there is definitely so much more to love than to hate!).

My favourite scene in the entire movie was the sex talk between Bella and Charlie. As before, Billy Burke steals the show with his performance. For me, Billy always adds so much to the books for me. I could never love book Charlie as much as I love movie Charlie. This scene was hilarious and both Kristen and Billy were at their best. It was actually better than in the books…. much better, and that isn’t something I say lightly.

Another one of my favourite scenes was with Jasper and Alice in the practice fighting, as well as when Jasper was telling his story. This movie has managed to awaken my inner ‘Team Jasper’ and to say that I am ashamed that it has taken this long would be an understatement. Jackson Rathbone did such an amazing job portraying Jasper – his practicality, southern charm and love for Alice. I couldn’t have asked for more.

Another thing worth mentioning in my favourites is the ‘Ravine Chase’ and ‘The New Born Battle’. W.O.W. It was just so brilliantly done. It was amazing to get to see the fight instead of hearing it through Edward’s commentary. The wolves looked great (much better than in ‘New Moon’) and I loved the feeling of camaraderie between the Cullens and the pack.

Obviously there are a lot of things I loved – little things that would probably make this review incredibly long- but somethings are really important to mention. Such as how much I loved was Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria. Now, I know that a lot of people were upset, and I was too, that Rachelle Lefevre was replaced by Bryce, but for me Bryce was a better Victoria. Now before you close the screen, or start throwing cyber tomatoes at me, just hear me out. The reason I say this is because I had always imagined Victoria as ‘cat-like’ and sickly sweet and Bryce was exactly that. She has the sweetest, softest face and a vulnerability that Rachelle definitely didn’t have. In the books, Victoria was almost vulnerable. That was why she ran away and kept on the side lines. She was a planner –cunning and sly, but she wasn’t a hunter. Rachelle plays the bad ass chick beautifully, but for me it didn’t suit Victoria and I only had this thought once I saw how Bryce fit the role.

For me, this movie gave all the actors a better platform to work with and they were all just that much better than they were in the previous films. Oh wait, there is another thing that I need to mention as something I thought was just awesome – The ‘Leg Hitch/ Proposal’ scene! OMG! It was just perfectly done and I was definitely turned into a blubbering mess! J

But before you all run away, I am going to move along! J

There were a few things that I missed or that I didn’t like. The big one for me was the final fight scene with Victoria, Riley, Seth and Edward. I kind of understand why they decided to have Bella actually cut her self, but I hated the idea that Victoria and Riley had the upper hand on Edward. In the books, Edward and Seth worked together and created a kind of bond but in the movie there was none of that. Riley and Victoria were on Edward and if Bella hadn’t cut herself, Edward would have been a goner. I definitely missed Edward’s strength from the book here. He seemed weak, almost human and it just didn’t work for me and left me feeling very disappointed the first time I watched it. By the second time, I had accepted it and enjoyed it bit more – but I still feel that they could have at least included the fist bump between Edward and Seth.

Another thing that kind of bugged me was how Bella didn’t seem upset enough over breaking Jacob’s heart. Maybe this is just something that a Team Jacob, like my self, would see. But it made her seem a little too cold hearted there. It would have been great to see the scene where Bella cries herself to sleep and Edward is almost distraught. I love where he says that he thinks she made the wrong choice and that he has never seen her so upset and her only reply is “I know who I cannot live without”. I definitely missed that.

Another thing I missed was the ‘Space Heater’ comment in the tent scene. I was really sad that they left that out. The tent scene as a whole was kind of disappointing actually. I mean, it wasn’t bad it just wasn’t the favourite like it was in the book. They still got the tension and the beginning of an understanding between the two of them, but it was just lacking something that I can’t exactly put my finger on.

Over all though, I will say that ‘Eclipse’ was definitely the best in the series so far! David Slade brought a lot to this franchise and he was definitely the perfect choice for this! So thank you David, Melissa, Summit and the entire cast of ‘Eclipse’, you all made it worth the wait!!! J

Books, Music and All Things Nice :)

I don’t want to talk about the stupid cars that can’t drive so I shall avoid that topic and move onto other, much better, things.

I finished “Spirit Bound” by Richelle Mead on Saturday. (In case you are unaware, “Spirit Bound” is the 5th book of the Vampire Academy series and was only just released here in SA).

It was amazing. The love story between Dimitri and Rose is epic. If you’ve read the first four you will understand exactly what I mean when I say that Edward and Bella have such a simple life, in comparison. WOW.

There are still another a book to come – thank God – it will be out in December. It’s called “Last Sacrifice”. I hate waiting for books, but to me, it is so much worse when a series is over. So I can definitely handle the wait. At least there are plenty of other things to keep me occupied…

There is quite a list of books that I still need and/or want to read actually – “Burned”, “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” , “Beautiful Creatures”, “Hush, Hush”, The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, The Oprah Biography, “Shantaram”, “Spud”…. WOW. There are actually loads because there are also the ones that are still set to release later this year like “Linger”, “Curse of the Werewolf Girl”, The last Vampire Diaries, The last Night World, “Torment”, etc. And let’s not forget all the ones, that I see with the infamous word that gets me every time, in between

Okay, that is just crazy. I never used to be this crazy… but anyway. So I got “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” Soundtrack last week and I am in love. Particularly with “Heavy in Your Arms” by Florence and the Machines.

The entire Soundtrack is great… but that is definitely on my ‘repeat over and over again’ list :)

There was something else I wanted to mention but now I cannot for the life of me remember what it was…

Oh yes… HAPPY ‘TUESDAY-THAT-IS-LIKE-A-FRIDAY’ EVERYONE! Enjoy watching the game tomorrow, where ever you are, and GO BAFANA BAFANA!! You can DO IT!! :)

The Men of Twilight and What Can Be Learnt From Them

*Before I get to my actual post, I just want to apologize for the lack of posting. I blame this entirely on both work and QWP (quiluetewolfpack.com). The first, because work has suddenly come alive and there is just too much to do and the latter, because Twilight RPG is an addiction I have no intention of stopping :) Ok, now that that’s out of the way, on to my post…

I got to thinking the other day, “What is it about this Twilight world that gets all of us going?” and I came up with a theory that men may be able to learn from. (Yes, guys, if you stop hating on our sparkling vamps and shirtless wolves, you may actually be able to learn from them!)

We all know that, even though the entire fantasy world created by Stephenie Meyer is so fantastic, the Twilight Series is essentially a love story – a classic love triangle where a choice has to be made. A choice between what’s natural and right and what’s magical and passionate. Now, no matter what team you’re on I am sure you can agree that, for most of us, there are both irresistible and frustrating qualities on either side. I am here to point those out. So let’s start with the irresistible qualities of Edward Cullen.

1)      Confidence, Confidence, Confidence. Edward exudes mystery. He is the bad boy, the one that no girl can crack – He is unattainable. It’s human nature, once something is unattainable, to automatically regard it highly… he becomes god- like the minute Jessica tells Bella that she shouldn’t bother. (Yes, I know, he is HOT, but there are plenty of hot men out there and you can’t tell me that they measure up, now can you?)

2)      Curiosity. Mysteries create fascination. Every single one of us (even the Team Jacob’s) were intrigued by him in the first book (that’s why we read the second one, right?). He was different. He was confusing. It stems back to the age old advise of playing hard to get. Obviously doing this can also back fire but when it is not intentional it tends to have the desired effect. When you have to work for something, it makes it even better.

3)      Overprotective, throw-myself-in-front-of-a-bullet-for-you love. No matter what we say, women like to feel protected. Yes, it is rather old fashioned… but what can I say- old habits die hard.

4)      “You are my world, Bella.” Need I say more? Nothing is more swoon worthy than a man who proclaims his love in an irrational “you-are-my-everything” kind of way. We like to feel as though the one-of-a-kind magical love is out there, and that we have found it. (This stems from fairytales… we do understand this – but it’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks!)

5)      He may be a vampire, but he is a gentleman. He opens your car door, gets his point across without using a single profanity and he will give you his jacket when it’s cold. He is that guy, the one who was hard to get, but is now devoted… to you and only you. (Yes, this does sound crazy… but once again, I blame the fairytales!) It’s all about respect.

Now before the guys start planning to become Edward Cullen replicas, let me tell you some of the things that will not work in reality….

1)      Stalkerish Behaviour. Creeping into our windows at night and watching us sleep, even out of love, is not okay in the real world. This is considered stalking. So is following us around, and watching us, constantly, from a distance.

2)      Lying is never okay – even if you think it is for protective purposes. No matter what, don’t tell us you don’t love us, when you do, and leave the country to protect us, or because you think it’s the right thing to do. I can promise you that, in the real world, there will be no one waiting for you when you get back… especially if there is a shirtless Jacob making us forget about you.

That brings me to our second hero – Jacob Black. Let’s start with what we love about him.

1)      A little bit of boy in a man, is a good thing. Jacob is fun and playful. He knows how to have a good time and is not always serious. (Yes, we do actually like to wrestle and joke around – it’s not always about life or death, and ‘how much do you love me?’)

2)      Vulnerability. Jacob shows his soft side a lot more often than his competitor. He is human with feelings and he is not afraid to show them. (But before you start shedding tears when your girlfriend’s puppy dies, he is not too soft. He has the manly thing down enough to be the one holding you while you cry, dead puppy or bad day at work, it doesn’t matter – Jacob will be there.)

3)      Protector. Once again. We like to feel safe. (Take note – repeating concepts usually denotes importance).

4)      Honesty. Jacob is like an open book. If you ask him, “Does my butt look big in this?” His reply would be simple, “You know there is no right answer to that question, right?” with a big grin and a chuckle. (Once again, playful is good.)

5)      Willing to fight. There is something incredibly sexy about determination. Jacob is willing to fight for her, no matter what. He never gives up, even when it hurts. (Devotion…. anyone heard that before?)

Now, to be fair (because after all, I am Team Jacob) there are some bad things about him too.

1)      Forcing the issue. For the love of god – Please don’t kiss us unless you are sure we want you too. Once again, in reality, this will only earn you a slap across the face (which will actually hurt!). Use your judgment, asking is better, but it’s not great either. Oh, and using manipulation as a fighting tactic – also not the best of ideas in reality.

2)      Persistence. This is a tough one, it has a good and a bad side. As has been said, determination is sexy, but I want to just mention that, in a world where it’s not about life and death, if we make a choice – respect it and leave it at that.

So you see guys were not all that complicated ;)

*Note: I just want to take this opportunity to say that this is not about the book or the teams. As much as I love a good debate, this is an adaptation to real life. I do know that Edward is not a stalker and that Bella breaking her hand on Jake’s face was actually pretty funny :)

*Spoiler Alert* Review: The Twilight Saga: New Moon

So finally, the wolf is out of the bag! (*lol* Sorry, I couldn’t help myself) After a really long week, the ‘New Moon’ midnight premiere finally arrived and let me just say, Oh. My. God! It was fantastic. Chirs Weitz is a genius and he really brought the book to life. He definitely gave us a really raw and honest interpretation of our beloved book. (Thank you Chris!!) I have watched it twice now, so I think I can give a pretty decent review!

(If you haven’t watched the movie yet and wish to remain spoiler free I suggest that you stop reading here!)

First I am going to talk about all the things I absolutely loved and then I’ll go into the few things that I didn’t.

Firstly, well done to all of the actors. They all did an amazing job bringing the characters we all know and love, to life! There are a few I would like t expand on though.

Kristen Stewart portrayed Bella’s depression perfectly. I can’t imagine what a toll spending day in and day out tapping into such a dark place must have taken on her, so, thank you Kristen for giving us ‘Twihards’ the perfect Bella! The montage used to depict Bella’s comatose state was amazing and it portrayed the passing of time and her zombie -like state perfectly. Talking of that montage, Billy Burke got Charlie down to a tee. If it weren’t for the scenes of him trying to console her I wouldn’t have had my teary eyed moment! It really brought the pain and abandonment to life.

Robert Pattinson also really hit the nail on the head with this movie (not that he didn’t do it with ‘Twilight’). My 2 favourite Edward moments would have to be in the break up scene where he kisses her on the head (his facial expression in that moment describes what is really going on perfectly) and in Volterra when Bella stops him from stepping into the sunlight (When he said “Heaven” it just really made my heart melt!).

Taylor Lautner surprised us all with his spot-on portrayal of Jacob. I couldn’t have asked for a more honest and raw performance. The scene after the movie scene between him and Bella and between him and Mike, definitely showed off his ability to act. It takes a lot to be able to go from happy, to loving and then to angry, in a matter of seconds! Another perfect example of this boys acting skills is when he climbs into Bella’s window to apologize! He played the best friend wanting more so well!! His expression as he is trying to get Bella to understand tells all.

Another surprising performance was Anna Kendrick’s. Her monologue was fantastic! She only had a few lines in the movie but she managed to give us everything we needed in those lines (including some really necessary comic relief!).

Dakota Fanning was and is the perfect Jane. From the moment she showed up in the alley way she commanded the screen and had me feeling rather afraid for Bella and Edward.

Out of all of these astonishing performances though, I need to make special mention to Michael Sheen! He was definitely the star of the show with his portrayal of Aro. He was everything I imagined and more. Every facial expression and every movement he made had me shivering. He is the epitome of Vampire ‘kings’. Aro’s greediness for power and his bizarre ‘happiness’ shined through everything he did!

As for the things I didn’t love. The way Jacob was portrayed was a big problem for me, being Team Jacob and all. I know that a lot of people see him as a jerk already but this movie seemed to focus on it. A good example would be when he answers the phone in the end – in the book he thinks it’s Carlisle, whereas here he knows it is Edward – so it makes him seem nasty! Another big one was the movie scene (his acting skills are awesome but the scene just didn’t match)! The scene in the Rabbit is one of my favourites so skipping it really sucked. Another problem I have is with the end, they make Edward seem so innocent when he is thanking Jacob and they make Jacob seem really bad when he phases. Jacob has super self control. He shouldn’t have phased. I was sad that they left out the end scene where he tells on Bella, it would have been a much better ending! Charlie would have been funny mad :)

Ok so there were two more things I didn’t like. Alice’s outfits and her vision. Bella and Edward frolicking slowly through the forest just looked utterly ridiculous… where did they get the idea that they would wear those outfits?? It was so funny… the entire cinema laughed (both times!!)

Anyway, as a whole… the movie was an utter success. Books often get completely lost in translation and it wasn’t this time! Chris Weitz did us proud!

Now it’s just another 6 months until we can see how David Slade fairs!!

Yoga Improvements

Yoga was quite a bit easier last night than usual. I’d like to think that it is because I’m getting better at it, but the truth is, I just happen to be able to twist a bit better than I can do anything else! You see, we focus on different things each class and the twisting classes are 0X easier for me than the balancing classes. Even the warm ups are easier.

I can feel myself improving though. I can do the frog type move (I can’t remember what it’s called now) where you lean forward with your hands on the floor in front of you , lift your legs up into your arm pit, or as close as possible(almost like a frog) , and then you rest them on your arms (above the elbow) and balance off the ground with your head forward. It sounds worse than it is…lol. Although I almost fell on my face last night, I actually balanced for like 2 or 3 seconds!!

Yes, it is sad when you start measuring your progress by seconds and how many times you fall. But how else am I supposed to know I am improving??

I just googled it and  I found a picture on the yoga poses and beyond website.

Bakasana

Bakasana

And that’s why 3 seconds is a good improvement! I couldn’t even get up at first.

Anyhoo, Happy Wednesday everyone!! 16 more sleeps until New Moon :) My mood just keeps getting better as it gets closer!!

*Warning* New Moon Clip

I had to share this! A part of me wants to stop watching these clips but I can’t stop… I love it too much!

Monday – Weekend Review

I just wanted to take a minute to mention my new favourite website -  The Quileute Wolf Pack website. Being a complete team Jacob or should I say, ‘Team Entire Wolf Pack’, I thought I’d let everyone know about it! It has great info on all recent news regarding anything Twilight (although it focuses mainly on the Pack). It also has a lot of information pertaining to the wolves, including info on the Quileute nation and language! My absolute favourite part of the website though, is the forum! What a great bunch of Wolf Pack fans! It’s buckets of fun :) So if you are a fan of Twilight and you’re interested in chatting to people who understand the OCD well… come on over and join our pack! *lol*

Ok onto what I did this weekend (which was nothing much….):

We watched movies on Friday night – ‘The Proposal’ and ‘Monsters vs. Aliens’. ‘The Proposal’ was as hilarious this time as it was the first time I watched it! Sandra Bollock reminds me so much of my sister in this movie I can’t help but hose myself at all the craziness! Monsters vs. Aliens, on the other hand, was disappointing. I expected it to be much funnier. It was more for the kids than I originally thought. It was cute though – something the kiddies will love!

I went to The Glen on Saturday and they are finally finished with all the upgrades! It’ looks great. The new Incredible Connection and Hi-Fi Corp look great, as do all the new home and lifestyle shops. I love that they are all so close together! I just can’t wait until the parking is completely finished and I really wish they would upgrade the cinema as well. I don’t know how or why but that cinema has really gotten quite dilapidated. It’s sad really, especially when the enter itself is doing so well!

On Saturday night (I wish I had organized something for Halloween) I ended up reading a fanfic until 3 am! It was a great story, different to the other ones I have read.

It’s called Fall for You by Live720. What if Bella never jumped off the cliff? This story picks up from that part in New Moon. It gives Jacob his chance, finally. If Edward decides to come back, whom will Bella choose? Who is Cole and what are his motives? Read and find out!

It is very well written and is a nice alternative for us Jacob fans!

Yesterday I want to my dad for lunch. I didn’t realize how much I missed my little brothers until I was there. They are growing up so quickly! It’s petrifying!

Well I hope you all had a great weekend! It’s finally November! 16 days ’til my birthday and 18 days to go ’til New Moon:)

Happy Monday everyone! (Let’ just get it over and done with)!

Double Standards for Young Hollywood?

I just read a very interesting post on the Twilight Lexicon website. The post refers to an article on Yahoo Movies, which talks about the double standards of young celebs. It focuses on Taylor Lautner and Miley Cyrus, and the sexualization of these young stars.

The article says:

“Remember the huge uproar in April 2008, when 15-year-old Miley Cyrus appeared in “Vanity Fair” wrapped in a sheet, with her right shoulder and the top of her back visible, implying that, under the sheet, she wasn’t wearing a shirt? That week, the cover of the New York Post read “Miley’s Shame,” the Christian Coalition called for the Hannah Montana star’s employer, Disney, to reprimand the teenager, and finally Miley was forced to apologize in a statement to People Magazine, saying: “I never intended for any of this to happen, and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone.” The pandemonium was so huge that critics ranging from the ladies of “The View”, to Bill O’Reilly, to Miley’s fellow Disney star Joe Jonas all expressed their disapproval over what they saw as the sexualization of a child to sell magazines.”

“Now, with the premiere of his movie, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” less than a month away, magazines, websites, and TV are blanketed with images of 17-year-old star Taylor Lautner, shirtless and showing off the body he trained for months to perfect for the role. And yet, none of the cultural critics who turned Miley’s photos into a full-blown “scandal” have said a word about the sexualization of Taylor, who, at 17, is just two years older than Miley was during her “scandal” and is also a minor. So, does Hollywood have a double standard?”

You can read the rest of the article here.

Taylor Lautner Shirtless for New Moon

Taylor Lautner Shirtless for New Moon

I feel quite strongly about this whole thing and that is why I felt the need to post it. It creeps me out that there are a whole bunch of older women perving over 17 year old Taylor.  I am 22 and those 5 years are a big enough difference that I can’t even look at his abs and think “yummy”. It’s creepy… he’s a kid, albeit a good-looking one, but still a kid! It’s one thing to think he is cute and another thing to perve. But at the same time the majority of the people looking at his abs are girls his age and even younger. The majority of ‘Twilight’ fans are in his age group, maybe a bit older.

With Miley there is a difference.

Miley Cyrus in Vanity Fair

Miley Cyrus in Vanity Fair

These photo’s are much more suggestive. She is wearing a sheet. That is sexual and 15 year old boys aren’t the ones reading Vanity Fair. There is something wrong with having sexual photos taken and put in a magazine aimed for an adult audience. There are perverted pedophiles out there!

So yes there are double standards, but their two cases are also too different to compare!

What do you guys thing?

New Moon Video on CGI & the Wolves :)

I know my OCD had reached new heights but I can’t help it… and why should I? I’m happy! :)

Anyway, here’s the exclusive footage from the Scream Awards 2009. It’s all about the wolves! Team Jacob all the way…lol.

What do you think?

The Highly Anticipated “Gamer”, a disappointment?

Once again the stupid people were all over the road this morning! There was an accident on the N1 (Oh, the shock!) and the traffic was backed up really badly due to these damn roadworks.  (If there were no roadworks, there would be a yellow lane for things like broken down cars and bumper bashings!) Now instead of waiting their turn there are all these damn people in their damn cars who, for some reason only known to them, are lead to believe they are extremely special and can therefore drive in the lane which has been closed off, due to  the road works. They eventually reach a point where they realize that the lane becomes a barrier and they then proceed to push themselves in front of everyone else, therefore us, in the normal, functioning lane, do not move! It is such a wonderful way to start off the week!!

Anyway, enough ranting about the stupid people surrounding us! Me and Mr. Perfect watched ‘Gamer’ this weekend (the new Gerard Butler action film) and I thought I should warn you – What a load of shit! Seriously, it was so disgusting. I was extremely disappointed because the trailer really didn’t give you a real idea of what the movie is about.

Yes, there is a new technology formulated to allow someone to control your actions. They use this for a game called ‘Slayers’, where death row prisoners can be controlled by a player and if they manage to win 30 battles they are set free. The Slayers action hero, Kable (Gerard Butler) is the first to reach the 30th battle, alive and obviously the evil man, Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall), who created the technology, does not want him to succeed as he can reveal secrets that would make people realize the extent of this technology and the control he has over it all.

Now that all sounds pretty cool, right? Well what they don’t mention in the trailer is the first game invented, ‘Socialite’. A game like ‘Sims’ where real people are controlled. It is like sex, drugs and rock and roll on steroids with dirty perverted men getting off, while playing with half naked women! It’s utterly revolting, I literally had to try not to puke. I was shocked. I actually felt violated, to be completely honest.

I don’t know why I stayed throughout the movie, it was like I really needed to see what happens but the eneding wasn’t even anything spectacular. So all-in-all, in my oppinion, it was a bunch of crap which totally makes the human race out to be some kind of sick masochistic society. But maybe I’m just being a bit melodramatic. What did everyone else think?

Anyhoo…. on a good note. I got my New Moon Soundtrack on Friday and it is really awesome! I love the indie rock feel that it has going :) My absolute favourite song off the album is ‘Satellite Heart’ by Anya Marina.

I also read a new romcom book called “Letters to a Love Rat” by Niamh Greene. It was a cute romcom, about three heartbroken women and one heartbreaking man. Eve is trying to get over Charlie by writing him letters – her therapist’s idea. Julie is sleeping with a married man and blogging about it, while Molly’s husband leaves her right after their honeymoon and she is left to think about a certain ex-boyfriend/soulmate.

It is perfect, if you’re looking for a quick read which will make you smile, laugh and lift the spirits!

Anyway, enough reviews. I better get to work!

Happy Monday everyone!! :)
